An Openlifecycle developer is responsible for adding new features to the software. Apart from this, one of their important work is to fix bugs in the code that keep making their way over the time. Developers collaborate with the feature team they are part of so as to lead to a co-operative venture.

An OpenLifeCycle Tester has primary responsibility of checking the functionality of the various modules of any of the OpenLifeCycle component. Apart from this, among his other responsibilities are filing bugs, verifying patches and bug fixes. They collaborate with the corresponding developers in developing Test Plans and executing them. The testers are not only involved in functional testing but also some level of white box testing is done as per the requirements.
